Shrimp for dinner

dinner as I once understood it.

Dinner time has become a responsibility I was never interested in taking on.  Let’s just say, I’m a true “woman’s lib’er” to coin a phrase from 1956.  I never really learned to cook. Sure, spaghetti and the odd omelette but nothing more exciting unless it can be thawed and heated in the microwave.

BD came along and introduced me to a world I’d only seen on Little House on the Prairie.  The world of real food, cooked from scratch, not from a box, made of things I can picture and pronounce.  And so… this is all relatively new to me.  Join me then as I attempt to make something out of a bag of frozen prawns.

Here’s the plan: I’m going to dump them into a deep frying pan (I think there’s a name for this but I don’t know it) and fry them up with some red bell peppers, and some lemon pepper seasoning… maybe some garlic and definitely some butter.

BD had better realize I love him because I hate red peppers by the way.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

  1. My culinary skills aren’t much better than yours used to be! Good thing my hubby’s a great cook :).
